BARYTES

Baryte is generally white or colorless and is the main source of the element barium. The baryte group consists of baryte, celestine (strontium sulfate), anglesite (lead sulfate), and anhydrite (calcium sulfate). Most barite produced is used as a weighting agent in drilling muds. It is also used as a pigment in paints and as a weighted filler for paper, cloth and rubber. Barite is used to make high-density concrete to block x-ray emissions in hospitals, power plants, and laboratories.

Amoda Group has baryte leases in Mahabubabad and Khammam districts of Telangana state. The combined estimated reserve is about 45 Million Metric tonnes.
